'My family were given the name of Welcome Travels by a UK colleague of ours as we were looking for a company that could provide us with a seven day trek in the Indian Himalayas, starting in the ancient town of Leh. Welcome Travels gave us an exemplary service-not only did they provide us with a fantastic week trekking in the Himalayas but they also arranged for pick-ups from airports and hotels in between.

The food on the trek was amazing-three cooked meals a day and even tea brought to the tent to wake us up each morning and the hygiene standards were great-we all remained healthy despite the cooking conditions being challenging for the cook. All the hotels chosen by the company were very comfortable and clean, the drivers prompt and courteous but the really remarkable thing was the service we received from the managing director of Welcome Travels, Ramesh Wattal. Before we left the UK we had a couple of conversations with Ramesh on the phone plus several exchanges of emails, clarifying and confirming the details of our trip. Ramesh personally greeted us in our Delhi hotel on the first night we arrived, again at the hotel in Leh and finally in the airport on our way out of India.

This personal service is what distinguishes Welcome Travels from many other travel companies we have used - Ramesh always made sure that we were comfortable, happy and answered any questions we had, not only about our trip but other questions we asked about some of the cultural differences we were experiencing.
