Day 01: Kolkata
Arrive Kolkata. On arrival meet & assistance, transfer
to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Kolkata
Morning sightseeing tour visiting Indian Museum -
housing a brilliant collection of Buddhist and Gupta
art; Victoria Memorial Museum - an imposing white marble
construction displaying paintings of the British Raj;
Fort William Kali Temple and Eden Gardens. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 03: Kolkata/Bhubneswar
Transfer to airport to board flight for Bhubneswar, the
capital of Orissa, which takes its name from one of the
titles of Lord Shiva, Bhuvaneshwar - the Lord of
creation. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 04: Bhubneshwar - Konark -
Puri
Morning leave for Konark (64 kms/02.00 hrs)
visiting the world famous, Sun Temple. Also known as
Black Pagoda, standing in solitary splendor amongst the
sand dunes, the temple is most striking example of
Kalinga architecture. At this spot on our planet the
solar eclipse took place in 1980, to the utter amazement
of modern astronomers and scientists. Proceed to Puri
(30 kms/01.00 hr), one of the four most holy Hindu Dham
(abodes). A place with many names over the centuries -
Nilanchal, Nilgiri, Niladari, Jagannath Dham, Jagannath
Puri, etc - Puri is dominated by two great forces, one
created by God and the other by man. On arrival at Puri,
check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: In Puri
Full day sightseeing tour of Puri, where the main
attractions are the temples and the Mathas
(monasteries); visit Jagannath Temple, Loknath temple,
Indradyumna Tank, Garden House and beach. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 06: Puri - Bhubneswar
Drive to Bhubneshwar (94 kms/02.50 hrs). On
arrival, check in at hotel. Afternoon city tour visiting
the great temples of Lord Shiva - the Lingraj Temple,
Tribhuvaneshwar Temple, Parusurameshwara Temple,
Bindusagar and Raja Rani Temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Bhubneswar/Kolkata
Transfer to airport to connect flight for
Kolkata. On arrival meet & assistance and transfer to
hotel. Overnight hotel.
Day 08: Kolkata Departure
Transfer to airport to board flight for
